THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR:
As I begin my eighth year as principal of Douglas Rural Schools, I look forward to working with parents and faculty to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community of student focused instruction and decisions, high expectations for learning, community involvement, and recognition of both student and staff achievements. I am committed to our work together as we move forward in our mission this new school year to We have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community.
We have many reasons to be proud of our Douglas Rural School Success: Our TOP 5:
# 1 – All rural students met individual growth rates for the 2010-2011 school year, as measured by our district MAP assessment. What a great accomplishment for our students, staff and parents!
# 2 - 2010 PAWS Results: All students showed great improvements in all areas!! Not only did we improve in Reading, Math, and Writing we saw improvement in all subgroups..... GREAT job students!
